Simple Stories chest for my mini albuns / Baú para os meus mini álbuns com Simple Stories

I simply love making mini albuns and I have a lot of them. I am organizing them now and I decorated this chest for the smallest ones. I used Simple Stories Destinations collection. These papers are so beautiful I did not know which one to choose for the project! I also used I Am Roses and Queen Anne Prima flowers, Tim Holtz film strip ribbon, pearls and fibers. How do you like it?

Eu simplesmente amo fazer mini albuns e tenho muitos. Eu estou os organizando agora e decorei esse baú para os menores. Eu usei a coleção Destinations da Simple Stories. Estes papéis são tão bonitos que eu não sabia qual escolher para o projeto! Eu também usei flores I Am Roses e Queen Anne Prima, film strip ribbon do Tim Holtz , pérolas e fibras. O que vocês acham?

Recycling Panettone Can / Reciclando Lata de Panetone

Tea Box - Caixa de Chá

Some time ago I had a friend over and when I offered her some tea I realized I have made a lot of tea boxes for many friends and clients, but I never made one for me. What a shame!! You know the saying: "The shoemaker's son always goes barefoot"! So I decided to make this one for me - well, it will be mine until my mom comes to my home... :)

Algum tempo atrás uma amiga me visitou e quando eu ofereci chá para ela eu percebi que eu já fiz muitas caixas de chá para vários amigos e clientes, mas eu nunca fiz uma para mim. Que vergonha! Sabe como diz o ditado: "Casa de ferreiro, espeto de pau"! Então eu decidi fazer esta para mim - bom, será minha até minha mãe vir na minha casa... :)

Hot Air Balloon - Balão Decorado

Following a tutorial from Limor (Artsy Addicts) I made this Hot Air Balloon. For the basket I used milk carton. Very easy to make. The only difficult part was taking photo of the balloon. It keeps spinning!!!! :D

Seguindo um tutorial da Limor (Artsy Addicts) eu fiz esse Balão decorado. Para a cesta eu usei caixa de leite cortada. Muito fácil de fazer. A ùnica parte difícil for tirar foto do balão. Só fica rodando!!!! :D

Chili Layout - DCWV Challenge

Chili is the inspiration in this layout for DCWV challenge. I mixed papers from 2 different

stacks: Luxury and Once Upon a Time. I also used Silver Spray Glitter from Toke e Crie, lace and crystals.

Heritage layout for Flávia Terzi's book - Create your pages. This is my Mom when she was 18 years old. I used Prima flowers (of course!), lace, doily, pearls, a metal heart painted with Copic and Tim Holtz flourishes.

Album Greece

This is the cover of the album I have just finished for my friend Ana Paula. There are many pages I want to share with you so I will post some of them soon. Here I used the gate from Momento Divertido which I painted blue (acrylic paint). For the walls I stamped Prima Flowers Wall Collage on texture from True Colors and painted white. The bougainvilles I handmade punching pink crepe paper.... lots of leaves!!!! ;) How do you like it?

Esta é a capa do álbum que eu acabei de terminar para minha amiga Ana Paula. Há muitas páginas que eu quero mostrar para vocês então eu vou postar algumas delas em breve. Aqui eu usei o portão do Momento Divertido que eu pintei de azul (tinta acrílica). Para os muros eu carimbei Prima Flowers Wall Collage sobre textura da True Colors e pintei de branco. As bougainvilles eu fiz a mão furando papel crepom rosa.... muitas folhas!!!! :) O que vocês acham?

A book for my Mom! Um livro para minha mãe!

When I was a child my mom used to tell me some stories written as poems. Some of these stories she would read to my grandfather when she was a little girl. The one I liked the most was about the adventures of a young man who built a mechanical peacock to rescue a young beautiful girl who was a prisoner.

I tried to find that book everywhere, but I couldn’t. So I printed the online version I found and made the book myself to my mom. I think she will love to read this romance again after such a long time.

For the book I used the wonderful BO Bunny collection TimePiece.

Quando eu era criança minha mãe costumava me contar algumas estórias em forma de poema. Algumas dessas estórias ela lia para meu avô quando era uma garotinha. A que eu mais gostava era a que contava a aventura de um rapaz que construiu um pavão mecânico para resgatar uma linda jovem que era prisioneira.

Tentei achar esse livro, mas não consegui. Então imprimi a versão online que achei e fiz eu mesma esse livro pra minha mãe. Acho que ela vai amar ler novamente esse romance depois de tanto tempo.

Para o livro usei a maravilhosa coleção da BO Bunny, TimePiece.

BO BUNNY Card Challenge

This week BO BUNNY Card Challenge is to use a handmade paper embellishment on the card. This is my entry:

I used Flower Child Collection. I made the flowers with a punch and covered buttons using papers as I would do with fabric. The bird cage (cuuuuute!!) is from Momento Divertido. The little bird I hand cut and put a little black pearl for the eye.

Eu usei a coleção Flower Child. Fiz as flores com um furador e cobri botões usando papéis como eu faria com tecido. A gaiola (linnnda!!) é de Momento Divertido. O passarinho eu cortei a mão e coloquei uma pequena pérola para o olhinho.

Another Mini Album delivered - Outro Mini Album entregue

I am trying to put my scrap life in order. Which means I am living by the motto:

"Out of the strain of the DOING

Into the peace of the DONE"

Last week I delivered some mini albums and also prepared two LOs for some challenges, a mini album for a magazine and some cards for Mega Artesanal Expo.

Today I am posting one of the mini and the days to come I'll post the others.

So as you can see my scrapfriends, I am working. I am just not posting!!! ;)

Semana passada eu entreguei alguns mini albuns e também preparei dois LOs para alguns desafios, um mini album para uma revista e alguns cartões para a Mega Artesanal.

Hoje eu estou postando um dos mini e nos dias a frente colocarei os outros.

Como vocês podem ver minhas scrapamigas, eu estou trabalhando. Só não estou postando!!! ;)

Sweet comment on my book - Comentário sobre meu livro

Pretty Petals Origami Flower Card

I have made many wonderful new friends through this blog and for that, I will always be grateful!! Rosana is one such friend, all the way from Sao Paulo Brazil, that I met online when she sent me the most wonderful e-mail, sharing with me that my blog and creations had inspired her! **blush** She also tentatively asked for some advice about starting her own blog, which she launched soon after. I was so touched by that e-mail and those kind words from someone I sensed, and now know to be a truly creative spirtit! It meant so much to me to know that I had somehow inspired someone so far away from my own home here in Canada, by way of this incredible blogging journey that I began two and a half years ago!

You may have been to her blog before and if you have not…well my friends, you are all in for a treat!! She is sensational! Her work is original and beautiful and her albums are especially meaningful! I’m sure you will find inspiration by visiting. I know I do!!

Rosana has been such a success in the short time that she has been blogging, it opened new doors for her and she has a scrap tutorial book published!! She was so sweet in sending me a copy and when I received it I was so inspired by what I saw, that after looking through it front to back several times; I had to try one of her fabulous tutorials and I hope to try them all!!

It’s called SCRAP FASCICULOS published by Memori Arte.

Now who’s inspiring who??!!

Although the book is written in Portuguese, the pictures for the tutorials are so clear and ordered, that I was able to understand how to make most of the projects. I have started by making the origami style flower fold card that she featured as the first tutorial in the book.

Inside

I used my Cricut Expression to cut the 6 petal flower and just followed the diagram for scoring the folds (she included clear templates at the back of the book as well).

I love how the petals overlap and fold over each other to keep the flower closed! The burgandy flower is glued on top of the crinkled ribbon and I’ve tied the ribbon around the flower, but it’s just for decoration as it’s not needed to keep the card closed. You could even tuck a small gift of jewelry or such, inside!

Recentemente fiz vários trabalhos, mas não deu tempo de postar. Aqui estão dois deles:

Uma amiga fez duas encomendas para o aniversário de sua filha: um álbum com fotos de seus amigos e família e um livro de receitas especial. Especial porque tem as receitas preferidas da mãe, pai, avós, tias, amigos, etc.

I’ve done a lot of work recently, but I did not have time to post it. Here are two of them:

A friend of mine ordered two things for her daughter’s birthday: an album with photos of her friends and family and a special recipe book. Special because it has her favorite recipes from mom, dad, grandparents, aunts, friends, etc.
